WorksheetCloud – What You Can Expect in 2017

Written by Adrian Marnewick

UPDATE: Since this post was published, the official launch date of WorksheetCloud 2 has been pushed to February 2017.

___

It’s been an absolute bumper of a year at Learning Lab Apps with the success we’ve had (and our customers have had) with WorksheetCloud.

On a daily basis my inbox is full of success stories from moms and dads whose children are reaping the rewards of using WorksheetCloud as part of their daily homework and revision routine.

We have learners using WorksheetCloud in every corner of South Africa, from Joburg to Hotazel (hot-as-hell) – yes, that’s really a place in the Northern Cape. We even have learners joining us from Namibia and other neighbouring countries.

We have over 36,000+ parents receiving our free weekly email with homework hints and tips from our blog, as well as a further 62,000+ followers on Facebook.

Throughout this year we have been intently listening to feedback from WorksheetCloud users. From our humble beginning as a printable worksheet service 24 months ago, I’m very excited to tell you about the plans we have for WorksheetCloud 2 launching next year.

Here is a sneak-peak of what you can expect from WorksheetCloud 2 …

Online Worksheets with Immediate Feedback

Your child will be able to complete all our worksheets online, meaning you don’t need to print anything. Each worksheet will be automatically marked (saving you time), plus your child will receive instant feedback, hints, tips and explanations as they work through each question.

Our interactive worksheets can be used on a computer, tablet or smartphone. However, you can still print worksheets if you need to.

Adaptive Learning to Suit Your Child’s Needs

WorksheetCloud 2 will adapt to the learning style and ability of your child. This means that your child will receive a highly personalised learning experience based on their actual ability. Over time, WorksheetCloud will help them improve their results and achieve the targets you set for them.

CAPS-based Revision Plan

As requested by many parents, you’ll now be able to complete worksheets based on the CAPS timeline. WorksheetCloud will also present your child with a customised CAPS revision plan in each subject. This will help you know exactly what work your child should be doing at any given time in the year.

Gamified, Incentive-based Revision

We’re introducing incentives for your child to use WorksheetCloud for all their schoolwork revision. Your child can now earn coins and trophies for completing worksheets and work their way up the WorksheetCloud Leaderboard. They can also compete in time-based worksheet challenges against WorksheetCloud bots which add a totally new dimension to schoolwork revision and learning.

More Subjects and Worksheets

We’re introducing additional subjects across the grades to ensure that WorksheetCloud offers the most comprehensive online curriculum for South African learners. All our content is CAPS-based according to the requirements of the Department of Education. We also continue to use only experienced, highly qualified teachers to create all our content so that you can be sure it is relevant to the work your child is doing in class.

Online Learner Progress Reports

We’ll give you a detailed breakdown of your child’s progress as they use WorksheetCloud. We’ll even send you a regular email with a summary of your child’s results with suggestions on what worksheets your child should complete next. You’ll be able to compare your child’s report with the grade average and subject average to find areas that need improvement or more attention.

The bottom line: WorksheetCloud 2 is going to improve your child’s school results and help make your life as a parent a little easier.

Do you have questions about WorksheetCloud 2? Post them below and I’ll answer.

I hope that 2016 has been a good year for your child. Here’s to an even better 2017!

Thank you to you and your team. Looking forward to next year. With the help of Worksheet Cloud my child was one of the top 15% in her grade and came second in class.

    Thank you once again

The plans sound great. We look forward to them. My son in Grade 5, despite his lack of effort in most of the year, still managed to achieve an over 75% average by using worksheet cloud for revision. We have used another system where rewards are offered, and that really helped with motivation. Is the monthly charge going to change?

I’m really happy to hear that Julia! 🙂

We will be increasing the price slightly when we launch the new version. However, all current customers (that’s you!) will be given access to the new version at no extra cost for the first few months.

I am really looking forward to the 2016 changes as my Grade 5 daughter started using WorksheetCloud only from October this year but I have seen an immense improvement in her results today. I think this is a fantastic app and we will be starting early in 2016 to get her Grade 6 grades up from the beginning. It is going to be a tough year on the academics for her but I have full confidence in WorksheetCloud 2 to help her.

All the best for the holidays.

I have joined recently and unfortunately it was to late my grandchild still failed Grade 5. So I’m starting early next year. How do I subscribe for the same grade next year and I would like to include my other grandchild who has been identified as a slow learner also repeating Grade 2. How do I go about that? Do I have to pay more?

Thanking you in anticipation. Thanks so much for a wonderful website and all the best!
    Looking forward to next year

    Good morning
My daughter is in grade 6, I noticed that the worksheets covers only the 3rd and 4th term. Will you be putting up the worksheets for term 1 and 2 soon? Especially Natural Science and Social science. This will be highly appreciated….
Thanks a million! I can already see an improvement on her grades…
    Regards
