The Teachers

We’ve gone out of our way to find some of the most experienced and enthusiastic teachers who will be presenting lessons to your child.

Here they are in alphabetical order …

Adrienne Goslett

I studied at Stellenbosch University and started my teaching career at Fairmont High School seven years ago. I teach English to learners from Grade 8 to Matric. I am passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of young people. I strive to help my English learners reach the goals that they have set for themselves and to reach their potential. Along with my teaching, I am involved with hockey and waterpolo. I am excited to be part of the online teaching team for WorksheetCloud.

Andrew Travis

This year marks my 14th year as a teacher. I started at Auburn House where I spent 6 years teaching across grades 4 to 7. I moved to Parklands College and taught grade 5. I gained experience using technology to extend teaching possibilities. I then moved to Cedar House where I taught grades 6 to 9 in various subjects. Mid-2017, my wife and I emigrated to Sweden, where I taught English to grade 7’s, before we decided that South Africa was where our hearts were and returned. I took a grade 5 post at the Hout Bay International School where I stayed for a year and a half. During that time, I set up and ran the Robotics lab. At the start of 2020, I took up the position of Robotics, Coding and Innovation Specialist at St Cyprian’s Girls School.

Ashleigh Ernstzen

I have been teaching for 21 years and have been privileged enough to teach at Uplands College, Penryn College and Roedean SA. I am passionate about Natural Sciences and Life Sciences. I am hoping you will find my lessons pique your curiosity and encourage you to become inquisitive about the world around you. You’ll look at some practical tasks, solve problems and learn relevant content in my online class. I am a believer of “doodling” and sketch-noting and I try to teach my pupils to be interested and interesting individuals who are creative thinkers and engaged learners.

Diane Watson

I graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2009 with a Bachelor in Education, Foundation Phase. I have since had the opportunity to teach various grades, both locally and abroad. The years I have spent as a Grade 1 and 2 classroom teacher confirm my passion for building a solid foundation in these formative years.

My specialities lie within Mathematics and Science and I am passionate about getting learners to think and equip them with a variety of skills to apply higher order thinking. I love to be challenged and to constantly learn new things, and I am always starting up a new hobby in my free time or finding a different way of exercising. Health and fitness form a big part of my life as well as spending quality time with family and friends.

Les Harwin

I have had many years teaching experience and I love my job! I graduated from Edgewood College in Durban and have taught at Epworth Girl’s School and Cordwalles Preparatory School in Pietermaritzburg. After moving to Cape Town in 2008, I started teaching at Cannons Creek Independent School and am now at St Cyprian’s. Over the years, I have taught classes from Grade 3 to Grade 6 and am currently head in Grade 3. Growing children’s self-confidence and belief in themselves, helping them to find their special kind of magic and witnessing their “I can do it!” moment, is what motivates me on a daily basis. Online teaching is a wonderful and exciting means to continue as I have always done in my classroom, except I am now able to extend this much further!

Jo-Ann Milligan

I qualified with a B Prim Ed from the University of KZN, Durban and have been teaching for many years. I started my teaching career at Amanzimtoti Primary School. After which I spent five years in an education role with De Beers Mining Group in the Northern Cape before moving to Johannesburg, where I have been for the last 20 years. I have held various leadership roles and am currently the Head of Academics at HeronBridge Prep. My passion is to continually investigate new ways of how to teach and extend children in order to encourage them to think critically.
